Jackson is the presiding judge of the family court of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He was appointed to the bench as an associate judge in June of 1992 by President George H.W. Bush.

On November 21 the Superior Court of the District of Columbia’s family court and the DC Child and Family Services Agency will join courts around the country in celebrating the 23rd Annual Adoption Day.

It’s late January.

Usually around this time of year, there’s a pulsing coming from my purse. I don’t pay attention to it, but like a heart beating in a horror movie, it won’t be ignored.
