The District of Columbia Court of Appeals is pleased to announce that those taking the July 2015 Bar Examination will be allowed to take the essay portion using laptop computers. Interested applicants are asked to register at www.exam4.com, select ‘bar exam’ and choose ‘District of Columbia’ as the jurisdiction. The Committee on Admissions encourages applications to read all instructions for registration carefully and to download the software well in advance. Registration will begin on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 12:00AM (EST) and end on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 5:00 PM(EST). The registration fee is $92.00 and payment is due at the time of registration. This fee is nonrefundable and non-transferable. Only applicants who have properly registered for laptop testing before the deadline will be allowed to use their laptops for the essay portion of the exam, and will be required to submit handwritten essays. The software download period will be Friday, June 19, 2015 through Friday, July 24, 2015.
