Lolita H. Youmans
Bio
Lolita H. Youmans is an attorney practicing in the District of Columbia since 2008. She has worked in a variety of fields including public school education, the oil and gas industry, consumer packaging, nonprofits, and government. Prior to moving to the Washington, DC area, she worked for more than 15 years in the private sector, primarily in labor relations. She mediated numerous employment disputes and negotiated collective bargaining agreements.
Since moving to the DC area in 2006, she has served with nonprofit organizations, the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, and DC Superior Court. In all these assignments, she has continued to grow and refine her mediation skills. During a brief relocation to Davenport, Iowa, she served as a mediator for Scott County Court in the Small Claims Division.
In her career, she has served as a litigator, corporate manager, court manager, instructor, and mediator. She is a 2001 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center and holds a B.A. and M.A. from the University of South Carolina.
