Charles M. Carron
Bio
Charles M. Carron is an alternative dispute resolution expert. In addition to the District of Columbia Court of Appeals Appellate Mediation Panel, Mr. Carron is the Chair of the Foreign Service Grievance Board (appointed by the Secretary of State), mediating and adjudicating grievance appeals of members of the Foreign Service.
Mr. Carron also mediates civil cases for the District of Columbia Superior Court and Virginia General District Court (certified by the Supreme Court of Virginia), as well as private disputes. Mr. Carron has served terms as a commissioner on the Arlington and Alexandria Virginia Human Rights Commissions.
For four years Mr. Carron was a hearing officer for District of Columbia special education appeals. Prior to that, Mr. Carron directed the labor and employee relations program of the Library of Congress, and before that he was senior labor and employment counsel for Verizon.
Mr. Carron earned his undergraduate degree at Princeton University and his law degree at Stanford Law School. He holds a Certificate in Workplace Mediation and Conflict Resolution from George Mason University’s Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, Northern Virginia Mediation Service.
