Bio

Mushegh Manukyan is a New York qualified attorney and a mediator specializing in international business disputes. He has extensive experience in mediation and arbitration as well as representing foreign companies in various complex matters. Currently he practices international dispute resolution at Three Crowns LLP (Washington, D.C. office)—a world leading international arbitration law firm.

Previously, Mushegh was a regional legal counsel at a Texas based high-tech company managing Russia & CIS, India, Middle East, and Africa legal matters of over 10 subsidiaries of the company. Mushegh also played an instrumental role in the establishment of Armenia’s mediation system and is the author of Armenia’s first mediation laws. He is a recipient of a Weinstein international fellowship (JAMS) following which he founded first private mediation and arbitration center in Armenia. He mediated numerous cases, and most recently served as a mediator in the Quincy and Brookline small-claim courts in Massachusetts within the Harvard mediation program.

Mushegh is an author of more than 30 publications and two monographs on various topics of private international law and alternative dispute resolution, which were published in the U.S., Europe, Russia, and Armenia. His most recent article was published in “Stories Mediators Tell—World Edition” (ABA, 2017), which encompasses stories from 24 top international mediators.

Mushegh received his Ph.D. in law from Russian State Social University in Moscow, where he taught private international law for two years. Most recently Mushegh earned an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, where he founded Harvard Arbitration Discussion Series and launched an interview project with leading arbitration and mediation practitioners (16 Minutes of ADR).
