Overview

The Center for Education and Training provides classes and training opportunities for court employees and managers; coordinates judicial education seminars and conferences; provides tours and court information for international visitors, judges, court managers and visiting school students. Class offerings include basic computer skills, legal issues and judicial procedure, management and communication skills, effective writing, technology and leadership which are designed to enhance the professional knowledge and skills base of all employees of the courts including the Judicial branch staff.

In addition, the Center is actively engaged in local, national, and international legal education through the Court Visitor Program. The Center coordinates with public and private schools, universities, and various private and governmental agencies to educate the community about the District of Columbia Courts.
