Juvenile Behavioral Diversion Program

Signature Case Management, Services, and Supervision

The Family Court operates a specialized Behavioral Health Court:

  • Track I: (Pre-Plea):
This track is available for first time, nonviolent youth. The youth’s case is papered, but does not proceed to a trial or plea; therefore, there is no adjudication. In order for a youth to be eligible for this track, the youth must not have had any prior cases that have been petitioned. Successful completion of this track will result in the youth’s case being dismissed without an adjudication.
  • Track II: (Pre-Disposition):
This track is available for youth entering a plea before a finding of involvement who then agrees to certain conditions that must be met in order for the case to go no further. Youth successfully completing this track can have their case dismissed.
  • Track III: (Post Disposition):
This track is available for youth with medium level offenses or who have previously been provided the opportunity of probation or Consent Decree. The youth must be placed on probation with successful completion of JBDP as a condition.
