D.C. High School Students Receive Awards from two Chief Judges

Essay Contest Winners are Honored at Courthouse Reception 
 
The DC Courts and the Bar Association of the DC (BADC) presented awards to five high school students and two teachers for winning essays on the topic Independent Courts Protect Our Liberties. Congress established May 1 of each year as Law Day, a special day of celebration by the American people in appreciation of our liberties, and a rededication to the ideals of equality and justice under the law. The American Bar Association selects a Law Day theme each year.
