Court event to celebrate Black Fraternities and Sororities

‘Step Show’ as part of DC Courts’ Black History Month celebration 
 
WHAT: Step show, as well as a musical and informational program focusing on  Black Greek Letter Organizations 
 
WHERE: Moultrie Courthouse   Jurors’ Lounge – Room 3300   500 Indiana Avenue, NW 
 
WHEN: Friday, February 24th   Noon to 1:30 PM 
 
WHO:  Judge Herbert Dixon, member of Omega Psi Phi   Judge Reggie Walton, member of Alpha Phi Alpha Court employees who are members of each of the ‘Divine Nine’ Black sororities and  fraternities. 
 
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of Alpha Phi Alpha, the nation’s first African American fraternity.  The program will include a brief presentation with historical information on each of the ‘Divine Nine’ fraternities and sororities, followed by performances by court employees who are members of those groups.   

PRESS NOTE:  Cameras and recorders are allowed into the courthouse for this event; however you must call in advance for permission to bring photographic or recording devices into the courthouse (879-1700).
