* Over 20 children’s adoptions to be finalized at the ceremony *
DC Superior Court and the DC Child and Family Services Agency will co-host the 30th Annual DC Adoption Day ceremony on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10am to noon. Kym Whitley -- comedian, star of Young & Hungry, and adoptive mom -- will be the special guest speaker.
The ceremony is designed to celebrate the joys of adoption and encourage area residents to consider adopting or fostering a child in the District’s child welfare system. Over 20 children, several of whom are biological siblings, will be adopted at the ceremony Each child and his or her family will be introduced to the audience and come forward to have their judge sign the final adoption decree.

WHERE: Moultrie Courthouse - 500 Indiana Avenue, NW - 3rd Floor Atrium
WHEN: Saturday, November 19, 2016 - 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
CFSA is currently seeking permanent, loving, adoptive homes for 86 of the 1004 children in foster care in DC. There will be social workers at the event, as well as representatives from local organizations that support foster and adoptive parents and foster children.
