November is National Adoption Awareness Month. According to the Child and Family Services Agency, there are more than 1,000 children in foster care in the District and 86 kids are in need of permanent loving homes.

DC Superior Court and the DC Child and Family Services Agency will co-host the 30th Annual DC Adoption Day ceremony on Saturday, November 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
