The court says Juror Appreciation Week begins Monday and lasts through Friday. On Monday morning, the court’s chief judge, Lee F. Satterfield, will take questions from jurors.

The court says each year 31,000 city residents serve jury duty. That allows the court to hold nearly 500 trials that are part of the 10,000 cases the court adjudicates each year.
