Superior Court eFiling System (eFileDC) Updates

We've moved from the CaseFileXpress eFiling website to eFileDCSuperiorCourt.gov for the following case types (Phase 1):

  • Civil Division cases, including Landlord & Tenant and Small Claims
  • Civil Tax in the Tax Division
  • Probate Division
  • Officer of Auditor Master – NEW in eFiling

All other case types will continue to be filed in CaseFileXpress, or File & ServeXpress, here until further notice.

Please see the below for updates on the system as they come available:

Security Measure Implemented for eFileDC Documents

Tyler Technologies has added a security measure to eFileDC to safeguard against unauthorized access to eFiled documents.

Effective Jan. 7, 2024, when you attempt to download/view a document from a link within an email notification (submitted, accepted, service, etc.), you will see a screen asking you to enter your registered email address. You must enter your email address, and click the “Validate” button to proceed. The system will confirm that your email address is associated with the case before you can download and view the document.

Changes to eFileDC Website as of April 19

DC Superior Court upgraded the eFileDC eFiling system website for filers on April 19, 2023.

To prepare for this change, the Court provided training webinars that walked attorneys and filers with Phase 1 case types through the update. Please note that are no changes to how you file or the eFiling processes.

Add eFiling Email Addresses to Your Safe Senders List

Please add the below email addresses to your email client's "safe senders" list. Otherwise, you may not receive notifications from Superior Court or the eFileDC eFiling system about the status of your filing.

Also, please check your junk or spam folder for emails from us if you expect communications about the status of your filing.
