PANDEMIC OPERATIONS UPDATE (APRIL 7, 2023)

Masks Now Optional at the DC Courts; Vaccine and Weekly Covid-19 Testing No Longer Required
As of April 1, 2023, the DC Courts’ Joint Committee on Judicial Administration has eliminated the requirement for wearing masks inside of DC Courts buildings, as well as eliminate the requirement for employees and contractors to provide either proof of Covid-19 vaccinations or negative Covid-19 test results.

This decision was made in consultation with our epidemiologist, and in consideration of the current state of the pandemic and related vaccination rates in the Washington metropolitan region.

Masks will be optional in all our buildings. As we move to our mask-optional approach, we are guided by our DC Courts values, especially our value of Respect. Accordingly, we respect the rights of persons who decide to wear masks at their discretion.

Thank you for your continued commitment to the health and safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the public.
